Today is World Children's Day, a day dedicated to children’s rights. As Chair of the Marie-Vincent Foundation Board of Directors, I believe we need to remember that we must all do our part where our children are concerned.
The number of young people who disclose situations of sexual violence is increasing, and the need for therapeutic services for these young people is growing. Marie-Vincent Foundation would like to open a second point-of-service in the Montérégie region, to help a larger number of young people and their families.
We share Ariane's story, a teenage girl who cycled across half of Canada to support children victims of sexual abuse. She raised funds and donated $2,000 to the Marie-Vincent Foundation. Thank you and bravo Ariane for your courage, your determination and your generosity!
