Marie-Vincent Foundation dreams of a world without sexual violence toward children and adolescents
At Marie-Vincent Foundation, we are committed to playing a role in preventing sexual violence by targeting children, adolescents, parents, professionals and the general public. From this prevention perspective, we also assist children who have sexual behaviour problems.
We help children and adolescents who are victims of sexual violence, as well as their families, to surmount this ordeal by providing specialized treatment at the cutting edge of current knowledge.
We constantly strive for best practices by supporting an Interuniversity Research Chair and by remaining up to date on the latest developments in society.
We support numerous partners from different sectors throughout the province.
We mobilize the victims, their parents, governmental, financial partners and those working with young victims of sexual violence, to help the cause and eliminate sexual violence.
Marie-Vincent Foundation’s impact
Ultimately, the Marie-Vincent Foundation wants to help build a world free of sexual violence. To achieve this, it is currently involved in developing a protective community that will ensure the optimal development of all young people, including victims of sexual violence and children presenting problematic sexual behaviours.
The Foundation collaborates with mobilized and concerted partners to:
- build capacity by preventing sexual violence, training professionals and supporting organizations; and
- change the developmental trajectory of child and adolescent victims of sexual violence and those who present problematic sexual behaviour by providing therapeutic and psychosocial services.
The Foundation has developed a Social Transformation Diagram to present the impacts it seeks to have in the community.
