The year 2025 marks a historic moment for the Marie-Vincent Foundation: 50 years of commitment to building a world without violence against youths. It is therefore with deep emotion that we officially launch the festivities to mark this meaningful anniversary.
A constantly evolving journey
Since the creation of its Foundation on December 18, 1975, Marie-Vincent has continuously evolved to meet the needs of young victims of sexual violence. The creation of its Centre d’Expertise and the Interuniversity Chair in Child Sexual Abuse in 2005, as well as the opening of a second service point in Montérégie in 2022, are some of the major milestones that have marked recent decades.
2025: A year marked by appreciation
This year, we turn the spotlight to:
- Our noteworthy achievements, including reducing wait times for our clinical services, rolling out our prevention and training programs, and opening a second centre.
- The key events that have enabled us to shine, expand our community, and secure the financial support so crucial to the pursuit of our mission.
- The people who have played a vital role in our story, and without whom none of this would have been possible: a whole community of allies, donors and partners dedicated to the cause of young people.
But the year 2025 is not just an opportunity to remember the past. We also look to the future, because there is still much to do to create a protective community around young people.
A visual identity to illustrate the journey
The mountain symbolizes the arduous path taken by young victims of sexual violence to overcome their issues, accompanied by their backpack, the right tools, and solid support. Their climb represents the courage and perseverance it takes to reach the summit and see the horizon where a better future awaits.
The mountain symbol is used both during our therapies with young people and by our prevention and training team, notably in the imagery of the book Un pas à la fois avec Lou. The illustration also represents the heights reached and yet to be reached by Marie-Vincent, gradually, to build a protective community and contribute to a world without violence.
