The Fondation Lise et Richard Fortin was founded in 2014 to provide financial assistance to various recognized charitable organizations involved in social services, education and health. More specifically, the foundation is committed to:
- helping children 12 and under who are victims of sexual assault to receive care adapted to their circumstances;
- alleviating the suffering of people at the end of life by helping hospices adapt to their needs;
- assisting young adults from disadvantaged backgrounds in taking charge of their lives so that they might function fully in society;
- contributing to the prevention of drug use among school-age youth;
- promoting university teaching and research.
The foundation’s family members have clients – children, women and seniors – who are particularly important to them.
Marie-Vincent counts on the generosity of the Lise et Richard Fortin Foundation, which has supported our mission since 2015. Their donations have contributed to the expansion of the Marie-Vincent team to meet ever-increasing needs while consolidating services.
We recently had the honour of meeting with Éric Fortin, administrator and secretary of the Lise et Richard Fortin Foundation. A father of three, Mr. Fortin is sensitive to the well-being of young people, and he is proud to support Marie-Vincent in its mission to create a caring community.
The sexual abuse of young children is so horrible. For our family, it was natural, and even a duty, to support young victims and contribute to education and prevention.
