Share your story
Would you like to share your experience as a survivor of sexual violence during your childhood, or as someone close to a survivor? Learn more below about Marie-Vincent’s guided testimonial process.
Marie-Vincent offers a guided, confidential testimonial process tailored to your situation.
Write to us at communications@marie-vincent.org.
A member of our team will get back to you within the next few days to arrange a conversation. This process is managed by Marie-Vincent’s Communications team and does not constitute clinical support.
We will invite you to a virtual meeting of approximately 30 minutes to get to know each other, answer your questions, discuss what sharing your story may involve, and inform you of any potential risks.
It is also an opportunity for you to tell us about your preferences regarding format and anonymity.
Before the meeting, we invite you to consult the detailed information document available on this page.
This initial conversation does not commit you to anything.
If you decide to move forward, you will be asked to sign a consent form outlining the authorized uses of your testimonial, your preferred level of anonymity, and your rights, including the right to withdraw your consent at any time.
You will have all the time you need to review the document and ask questions before signing.
If you are between 14 and 17 years old: you have the right to consent to sharing your story. Additional safeguards will always be applied (full anonymity, no visible face, and the use of a fictional first name).
If the Communications team identifies an opportunity to highlight your story, we will work with you to prepare your testimonial in a format that suits you, whether written, video, audio, or in person.
After your testimonial is shared, a member of our team will reach out to see how you are doing and answer any questions you may have.
If needed, we can also refer you to appropriate support resources.
We will never ask you to describe the acts of violence you experienced.
What matters to us is your journey: what you have lived through, what helped you move forward, and the message you wish to share for the future.
* Except in the case of media interviews, where final editorial decisions remain the responsibility of the media outlet.

Please note that expressing interest in sharing your story does not guarantee that an opportunity will arise in the near future, nor that your story will ultimately be selected. Each request is carefully reviewed, not to judge your experience, but to ensure that the conditions are in place for the process to be safe and respectful.
If your testimonial is not selected at this stage, it does not diminish the value or importance of your voice. We may revisit the opportunity in the future if circumstances change.
