Developed with the support of Public Safety Canada, it was created following numerous youth-led and youth-focused prevention activities conducted by Marie-Vincent between 2017 and 2019 in high schools across Greater Montr\u00e9al.<\/p>\n<p>PBPA is a prevention and awareness program that directly involves young people in addressing online sexual violence. Of these, 16% reported that the images were shared without their consent.\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"stats-lower-content \">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<h3 class=\"title title-2\">More than one-third of girls<\/h3>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t(36%) reported being asked to send nude or sexually suggestive photos.\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"stats-lower-content \">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<h3 class=\"title title-2\">More than 1 in 7 class=\"title title-2\">Approach and Content\n<\/h2>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"text\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><strong>Through youth-led awareness workshops, PBPA empowers young people, helps them develop critical thinking skills, and raises their awareness of online sexual violence.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>For youths participating in peer-led workshops, this approach fosters open discussions in an inclusive and egalitarian environment, allowing participants to share experiences with peers who understand their viewpoint.<\/p>\n<p>The PBPA program is implemented in two phases:<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>1. Selection and Training of Peer Trainers<\/h3>\n<p>A group of peer trainers is selected and undergoes 15 hours of training to prepare them to lead awareness workshops for younger students. The training covers:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Youth digital habits and negative online experiences<\/li>\n<li>Forms of online sexual violence<\/li>\n<li>Workshop facilitation and classroom management techniques<\/li>\n<li>How to become a leader and role model<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>2. Awareness Workshops Led by Peer Trainers<\/h3>\n<p>Once trained, peer trainers lead workshops for Secondary 1-2 students (and sometimes Grade 5-6 students). The workshops cover topics such as:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Live streaming and online issues<\/li>\n<li>Social influence and peer pressure<\/li>\n<li>Non-consensual sharing of intimate images<\/li>\n<li>Consent<\/li>\n<li>Manipulation tactics used online<\/li>\n<li>Self-protection strategies<\/li>\n<li>Social media and self-esteem<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>For more
