Children and adolescents, as well as their parents or caregiver, must be referred by a professional\u00a0in order to\u00a0receive services at Marie\u2011Vincent.<\/p>\n<p>This means that an appointment cannot be made directly by a parent or loved one unless the family has already received services from Marie-Vincent in the past.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\n\n\t\t<section class=\"text-standard section-block with-background purple-theme\" data-scroll-section>\n\t\t\t<div class=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"row row-main\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"col-12 col-content\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"content\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"title title-2\">Who can issue a referral?\n<\/h2>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"text\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Referrals must come from an external professional, such as:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>a professional from the Director of Youth Protection (DPJ), a CISSS or a CIUSSS (CLSC, CSSS)<\/li>\n<li>a professional from the school system<\/li>\n<li>a professional from a community or private organization<\/li>\n<li>a member of the medical staff (physician, nurse, etc.)<\/li>\n<li>a police officer who has conducted a police investigative interview with a child or adolescent victim (or who has collaborated in a multisectoral agreement<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\n\n\t\t<section class=\"text-standard section-block with-background cream-theme\" data-scroll-section>\n\t\t\t<div class=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"row row-main\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"col-12 col-content\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"content\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"title title-2\">What information is required at the time of referral?\n<\/h2>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"text\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>The following elements are not required to initiate a referral, but must be provided later in order to confirm the child\u2019s or adolescent\u2019s placement on the waiting list:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>written consent from the holders of parental authority (for children under 14) or from the adolescent (14 and over)<\/li>\n<li>authorization to share relevant information for the file<\/li>\n<li>any relevant reports (DPJ assessments, medical reports, etc.)<\/li>\n<li>a court order, if it recommends treatment at Marie-Vincent<\/li>\n<li>proof of withdrawal of parental authority, if applicable<\/li>\n<li>an application to IVAC (Crime Victims Compensation) for children and adolescents who are victims of sexual violence<\/li>\n<li>all information required for the call with the access-to-services agent, described below<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\n\n\t\t<section class=\"text-standard section-block with-background beige-theme\" data-scroll-section>\n\t\t\t<div class=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"row row-main\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"col-12 col-content\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"content\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"title title-2\">What information must be provided to the access-to-services agent?\n<\/h2>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"text\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<ul>\n<li>Complete contact information for the child or adolescent and parents<\/li>\n<li>Context of the sexual violence or sexual behaviour problems<\/li>\n<li>Context of the disclosure<\/li>\n<li>Interventions already attempted (particularly for children under 12 with sexual behaviour problems)<\/li>\n<li>Overall functioning of the youth (symptoms, risk behaviours, any history of aggression or violence)<\/li>\n<li>Family context<\/li>\n<li>Professionals involved (names, contact information, roles and previous or current interventions)<\/li>\n<li>Information on the socio-judicial trajectory (police investigation, DPJ, legal and medical steps, etc.)<\/li>\n<li>Steps taken with IVAC<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\n\n\t\t<section class=\"list-accordion section-block with-background cream-theme\" data-scroll-section>\n\t\t\t<div class=\"container\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"content-wrapper\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"row row-main\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"col-md-12\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div class=\"section-header\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"title-2\">Who is eligible for our clinical services?<\/h2>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Marie-Vincent offers specialized services to different groups of people directly or indirectly affected by sexual violence. It aims to promote safety, harm reduction and personal recovery in collaboration with multiple community, police and institutional partners.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div adolescent.<\/p>\n<p>Marie-Vincent offers them psychosocial support, parental guidance and concrete tools to better understand the situation, manage their emotions, and support their child throughout the process.<\/p>\n<p>To receive immediate intervention services, the child or adolescent must be on the waiting list.<\/p>\n<p>Parental support services and guidance are available when the child or adolescent is already receiving clinical services at Marie-Vincent, or, in some cases, as prevention or in response to a disclosure.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<div
