Portraits of Caring Collaborators: Lisa L’Archevêque and Francine Moreau

Lisa L’Archevêque et Francine Moreau

As part of Marie-Vincent’s 50th anniversary in 2025, we launched a call for nominations to honour exceptional individuals who have shaped our history and contributed to our growth, leaving a lasting impact. Throughout the year, these inspiring figures are highlighted on our digital platforms, as their names are permanently inscribed on the Wall of Great Contributors at our offices in Montreal.

Let us come together to celebrate these big-hearted figures with the final two portraits in our series:

Lisa L’Archevêque

For many, Lisa L’Archevêque was the very first person they met upon arriving at Marie-Vincent. As our front desk agent since 2011, she has consistently embodied the values of humanity, compassion, and respect that lie at the heart of our mission. Every day, Lisa plays a key role by serving as a bridge between Marie-Vincent’s various services and our many external stakeholders: donors, police and medical partners, training participants, and more. She engages with everyone efficiently and always finds a timely answer to every question. Lisa has also been present for every milestone in our organization’s journey over the past 14 years, from the move to Angus to the opening of the Châteauguay centre, as well as trainings, special projects, and committees.

She has helped structure and professionalize the role of reception while ensuring a warm, welcoming environment filled with attentiveness and openness. Lisa knows every child who has come through Marie-Vincent, and we are convinced that they too carry with them the memory of her reassuring smile.

For Lisa, it is a true privilege to be part of the path of these children and their families. Each encounter is deeply meaningful, and she hopes, in her own way, to have made a difference in their lives.

Francine Moreau

As Director of Administration and Finance from 2006 to 2021, Francine Moreau ensured the sound and rigorous management of Marie-Vincent until her retirement. Present from the very beginning of the Montréal centre, she helped build the organization on solid foundations over the course of 15 years. Thanks to her vigilance and expertise, she contributed to the sustainability of our services, notably through grant applications, accountability reporting, and budget monitoring.

She truly was a “jack-of-all-trade” in our organization’s growth! Her commitment went far beyond the walls of her office: Francine never hesitated to lend a hand as a volunteer, even doing DIY projects with her husband on weekends to help reduce maintenance costs.

A deeply human and dedicated behind-the-scenes worker, Francine left an indelible mark on Marie-Vincent’s history.

Together, let us continue celebrating those whose humanity and dedication have left their mark on Marie-Vincent and transformed the lives of so many youth. Discover all of the portraits here.
