What impact will the Marie-Vincent Foundation have in the community over the next few years? This is a big question that our team examined in 2018.

Ultimately, we know that the Marie-Vincent Foundation wants to help build a world free of sexual violence for all children and adolescents. Throughout this reflection, young people obviously remained the focus of our priorities and our services.

To illustrate the impacts we want to have, we developed a Social Transformation Diagram. It demonstrates that building a world free of sexual violence cannot be done on our own.

We first have to rally a protective community around children and adolescents. This community includes professionals and organizations, as well as parents, grandparents and any other adults who interact with young people. Through it, we can work together to help young people thrive and:

  • build capacity by preventing sexual violence, training professionals and supporting organizations; and
  • change the developmental trajectory of child and adolescent victims of sexual violence and those presenting problematic sexual behaviour by providing them with therapeutic and psychosocial services.

In 2019, we will work to strengthen our impact by delivering our therapeutic, prevention and training services in various communities, always in collaboration with regional partners as well as with our interuniversity chair, which allows us to implement best practices and evaluate our actions.

In 2019, we want to expand our protective community to build a world without sexual violence.
